Teacher Preparation Notes

1. Read to the students "How to Eat Fried Worms".

2. Discuss the different ways the boy ate his worms.

3. Brainstorm with the students the different ways you could eat a worm.

4. Have an example of how you would eat a worm (If I had to eat a worm, I would chop it up and put it on a hot fudge sundae as if they were the nuts.).

What The Student(s) Will Do

1. Create a short story of how they would eat a worm given the story starter, "If I had to eat a worm, I would . . . ."

2. Create Illustrations for their story.

Discussion Questions(s)

Share stories of how each student would eat their worm.
