TEACHER NOTES

Introduction

Technology is a tool to improve children's learning. I created this webquest as a tool to use in my class, but also I wanted to introduce Turkish literature to American children. Although the resources were limited on internet, they may have an idea about a different literature.
These are Arizona State Standards for Language Arts:

1. R-E2 Use reading strategies such as making inferences and predictions, summarizing, paraphrasing, differentiating fact from opinion, drawing conclusions, and determining the author's purpose and perspective to comprehend written selections.

2. R: E6: Compare and contrast the historical and cultural perspectives of literary selections.

3. W-E1: Use correct spellling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar and usage, along with varied sentence structure and paragraph organization, to complete effectively a variety of writing tasks.

4. W-E5. Write a report that conveys a point of view and develops a topic with appropriate facts, details, examples and descriptions from a variety of cited sources.

5.W-E8: Demonstrate research skills using reference materials such as a dictionary, encyclopedia and thesaurus to complete effectively a variety of writing tasks.
