The "information age" is upon us. Technology provides educators, parents, and students tools and strategies to use in the exploration of the world. How these are used is essential to their effectiveness, in and out of the classroom. Given the opportunity, students can be guided and taught proper ways to critically evaluate the information presented to them. They can also be taught strategies to use that will enhance their productivity, as well as personal growth.

If we are to encourage lifelong learners, we need to begin with a solid, well-rounded foundation. Technology affords us wonderful opportunities to make learning and our world come alive within the walls of our classrooms and homes.
