Pat Hutchins

Pat Hutchins spent her first years on an army base in England. She loved to explore the woods around the base with her brothers and sister. Any time someone found an injured bird it was brought to their house until it recovered. An injured crow recovered and became a volunteer pet. He liked to sit on Ms. Hutchins' shoulder when she sketched. She loved to sketch.

She continued to sketch and draw all through school. I am so glad. She has written so many books that I enjoy using with my first graders.
Here is The Official Web Site of Titch! It has lots of fun things to do and a letter from Ms. Hutchins.
