Before starting the webquest you should be in a team of 3 people. The object of this project is to have fun, work hard and learn. Make sure you have picked good work partners. The three of you will be working together as a team. You will need to work cooperatively. Working cooperatively means making sure that each person understands the tasks and is participating and asking questions.

Each day that you work on this webquest you will need your math journal and a pencil. Some tasks will require other materials, you will find out about that as you proceed.

The first thing you need to do is read the Introduction. You may choose your tasks from either the the page called "Contents" or the page called "Triangle Tasks."

To get ready to start the webquest do the following:

• Decide on a mathematical name for your team.
• Talk about what it means to work cooperatively with your team.
• Each person in your team should think of 2 things they can do to help the group work as a team. Write them down in your journals.
• Make a team poster - by writing the name of your team on a big poster paper, write the name of each person in your group and write the 2 things that each person is going to do to work as a team.

After you complete all the tasks you will complete an individual evaluation and a group evaluation. When everyone in the class finishes the webquest we will have a parent meeting to share what you have learned with your parents!
