Introduction:
The Petersburg Chamber of Commerce has asked our
class to provide information about bears for the tourists that visit
our town. During this project your group will become experts on one
of Alaska's bears. Your job will be to gather as much information as
you can about the appearance, diet, habitat, enemies, and families of
bears. Safety around bears is also very important!
Task:
By the end of this project you will know about the foods bears eat, where they live, bear families, what they look like and how to be safe around bears, and something new you didn't know about bears.
While you are gathering your information you can record your findings on the journal page from your teacher. After you have filled out the data sheet you will use the information on it to produce a kid pix slide show about bears. We will share our shows with the Chamber of Commerce and print out a copy to make a book for them also. Your last project will be to make a life size soft model of your bear to display with your book and slide show!
