You and your friends have saved up some money and decided to take a road trip before the year is over. After combining your money you realize that you have $1000 to spend. After doing some thinking, your group decides on 4 possible destinations. They are

Snow season had just started. Lets go Skiing or snowboarding. |
You will create a presentation that demonstrates were you will go on your vacation and how much it will cost you. You will need to research each destination and include the following items in your presentation (Your presentation can be a video, Power Point, or poster board presentation).
1. The destination city
2. How many days will your road trip take?
3. How much you will spend on fuel for the trip?
4. How much you will spend on lodging?
5. How much you will spend on food?
6. What activities will you do and how much this will cost you?
7. An estimation of how much money you will need for your entire road trip.
You will need to decide which part of the trip you will want to conserve money and which part of the trip you will spend the most money. Your group will have to decide!
1. The first task of this project is for the group to assign tasks for each member of the group.
2. You will then want to decide on a car for your trip. (What will you have to think about for your car selection)

3. Your group will also need to figure out how many miles you will be driving for your trip. First you will use the map link below to find the distance to your destination, then you can check your work.

4. Looking at some gas prices you will need to estimate how much money you will be spending on fuel for your trip.

5. Your group will need to do some research on lodgings (where you will stay). You will want to get some prices and some information on what the different lodgings have to offer you.

6. Your group will need to research some dining establishments in order to estimate how much money you will spend on food. (Click on the City Below)

8. Once you obtain all of your information, you will want to calculate the total expense of each possible destination.
After you finish, there are several things you need to think about. Answer the following questions and include them in your presentation.

3. How will this help you in the future?
