Chivalry’s ideals were military, and without the horse nobody could have been a horse warrior or knight, as the terms became synonymous. Today we may think of chivalry as referring to a moral quality rather than to its origin with the horse. List some people you may know who shows chivalry in today's world.

In chapter 2, Brother Luke explains that people are named for some oddity they have or for where they live, or for what they do. If we were named that way today, what name might you have? Explain the history or what your name means.

In chapter 3, Compare how you learned to read and write with Robin's reading/writing lessons.

In your group, discuss this question, What enables Robin to do his best? Be prepared to present your conclusions to the class.
