Description: This is a page sponsored by
the College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa. It includes a
description of inclusive education, strategies for inclusion, shared
decision-making, and other inclusion resources.

Description: The Council for Exceptional
Children is the professional organization for special educators. This page
includes information on trainings, laws, and even career connections.

including ADHD, learning disabilities, and gifted and talented. There are
strategies for working with these students. This page is updated regularly with

Description: This page is a great
resource for all involved with students with learning disabilities. Great
examples of what it might be like to have a reading disability. There is also a
quiz to help kids learn about famous people who had a learning disability.
IDEA'97

Description: This page details the 1997
amendments to IDEA, the special education law and includes articles, speeches,
etc. regarding IDEA.
ADDA

Description: Home of the National
Attention Deficit Disorder Association. Excellent site for all involved with
people with ADD or just interested in more information. There is a special kid's
page that explains ADD to children. Information for adults with ADD is also
available.
CHADD

Description: This site is the home page
for the Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
organization. The site includes a chapter locator so parents can find local
support as well as news releases regarding ADD. Links include: "What a
teacher should know."

Description: This is a great sight for
teachers. There are lesson plans in all different curricular areas. A
professional development link includes help on incorporating technology into
teaching. There are also links to information on special education, gifted
education, school reform, etc.

Description: This page allows you to
create a word search based on words you choose. Great for a thematic break, fun
homework or for those who finish early.

Grammar Rock, America Rock, Multiplication Rock, Science Rock, and Scooter
