You are about to discover amazing information and learn about important artwork created by the Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.

Through this WebQuest you will begin to understand the historical significance of da Vinci's work as an artist, scientist and inventor.

  1. Collect general biographical information about Leonardo da Vinci that tells about when he lived, where he lived, how he got started in his profession, etc. Gather facts that will fit well as your introduction to the artist.

Through your study of Leonardo da Vinci you have learned what it really means to be a Renaissance man. By being knowledgeable about art, science, music, and history, you too can become a Renaissance man or woman!


Extension

Create an instructional handout for your PowerPoint or three-dimensional project to help and guide fellow students. Try keeping a sketchbook journal like Leonardo did to record your work. Go even farther into the world of technology and record all of your work with a digital camera! You could even start a web page, for example, take a look at this.
