Congratulations! You have been chosen as Time Magazine's Teen Reporter!

Your first assignment is to select a "Hero of the Century" for the upcoming Millennium issue. You must be able to defend your choice to the editors.

To defend your choice, you must provide the editors with information that will persuade them that this person deserves the title, "Hero of the Century."

You will begin by defining a hero, and creating a want-ad for a hero.

Next, you and a team of other reporters will each choose a hero who lived in this century, (1900-1999), and research his or her life. You will share your findings with the rest of the team in a multimedia presentation.

Once you have the background on all possible candidates for "Hero of the Century," you will make your decision and prepare a persuasive essay for the editors to convince them to use your choice for the cover of the millennium issue.
