Introduction

We are beginning our unit on Dairy Farms. In this WebQuest we will tour farms from all over the world. We will do research on the Internet. We will learn about dairy cows, take a virtual tour of a dairy, learn to milk cows, and make butter.

The Task

Your task is to read The Milk Makers by Gail Gibbons with your reading buddy. When you have finished reading your book, you will take a tour of several farms on the Internet. Then you will work together with your reading buddy to discover the following. You will draw and write your findings in your journal.

 

  • What do Dairy Cows eat?
  • How many stomachs do they have?
  • How often are Dairy Cows milked?
  • How many glasses of milk do they produce each day?
