Description of Site: This site offers educational games for grades Preschool through sixth grade. Has games to test your alphabet and number knowledge, word searches, fractions, geography, etc.

Name of Site: Alphabits

Audience: Early Childhood K-2

Description of Site: Letter Recognition activities using Shockwave plug in. Includes an e-pal program you can join.

 

Aminabets

Name of Site: Animabets

Audience: K-5

Description of Site: Activities for children. Put together a puzzle, explore the planets, and play a matching game. Lots of fun things to do on this site.

 

I Know That

Name of Site: I Know That

Audience: Students 2yrs-12yrs.

Description of Site: Provides lots of activities for children. Geography, Math, Reading, Art, and games.

 

 

PBS for Kids

Audience: Educators, Parents, Children

Description of Site: This is a wonderful site offering links to the PBS Children’s programs. Each site offers educational activities for children. You can visit sites about Barney, Between the Lions, Zoom, and Mr. Rogers, just to name a few.

Audience: Preschool- 1st

Description of Site: Alphabet games using Macromedia Flash. Click on a letter and hear the sounds it makes. Includes vowels.

Description of Site: This is an online building site. Build a structure by typing in simple commands, and email your structure to a friend. Requires a "Shockwave" plug in.

Description of Site: Tour the Toledo Zoo using zoo cams. View the Polar Bears, Seals, ans Hippos, just to name a few. Offers a feature they call, "Zoo Today TV. Uses cameras to teac one subject a month. For example "Animal Defenses". Learn how many types of animals protect themselves from predators. Requires a real player plug in.

The Statue of Liberty

Name of Site: The Statue of Liberty

Audience: Anyone

Description of Site: This site offers a picture tour of the Statue of Liberty. The tour begins at Battery Park and takes you to the top of the Statue of Liberty. You can even see the view from her crown! Our children love to see this virtual tour.
