appreciation for the struggles of the early 49'ers.
These early westward pioneers helped shape the
face of the West and opened up new frontiers
for Americans.
In your journal, reflect on how the Gold Rush
changed the face of the west. Look at how the
Gold Rush affected life here in Arizona.
