1. What is your job title?

Director of Finance and Administration

2. What are some of your basic responsibilities?

I take care of the money, property, and equipment that the company owns. I also take care of the computers and software that the company uses.

3. What type of education and/or training is required for your position?

I have a college degree in accounting and took an additional test to become a Certified Public Accountant.

4. What is the approximate starting salary and top salary for someone in your position?

Starting salary for a Certified Public Accountant can range from $33,000 to as much as $130,000.

5. What are the days of the week you work and how many hours a week do you work?

I work Monday through Friday and I work between 40 to 50 hours a week.

6. What is your working conditions (i.e. Lots of driving, in the office, outside work)?

I work mostly in the office, very little travel.

7. Is there a large demand for employment in your type of occupation?

There is a huge demand for Certified Public Accountants. Less students are picking accounting as a career, so there is more opportunity.

8. What would you say to a student that might be interested in a career like yours?

If you have an interest in numbers and business, and want to be able to make a good living. You should look into accounting as a career.
