9. Writing Mechanics
The students will also be learning and reviewing the basics such as spelling, punctuation, capitalization, usage, and writing revision. There will be many opportunities for the students to write during this school year.
10. Reading
The students will be expected to read thirty minutes a day, six days a week during this
school year. They must read at least three books per quarter unless it is the third
quarter when the student will be writing a booklet with a topic of his/her choice.
We also have an in-class individualized reading program where the student is placed
in a certain reading level "color" and tries to progress to harder levels as the school
year continues.
