So, you have completed your Sociology Bytes Politics Webquest ... or have you? This is an election year, the year 2000. There are many candidates running for political office and they all have platforms with deeply entrenched foundations. Can you see any similarities between the parties we studied and the parties that are currently out there? Your study of Sociology shows you how groups and individuals combine to create a society. Who do you want leading our society? Less that 40% of the American population elects our officials. Do you think this is right? What can you do about it?
Investigate the different party candidates and what they stand for. Get involved with a candidates election campaign. And if you are old enough, VOTE!!! Let's make sure that someone else isn't making your political decisions for you.
