The Process & Resources:
As the ten spin doctors for your political party you will be writing a press release for your candidate and each of you be going on "Meet the Press Secretary" - a locally broadcast television program - to discus where your candidate stands on the political "hot topics" of the day. In order to do this you are going to separate into research teams of two. Each research team needs to select one of the following topics to investigate:
Each member of your research team will also need to do in-depth research as to the views of your political party to create a comprehensive press release.
(Select the appropriate party to see a list of resources)
After collecting your research you must determine how your party would respond to the topic and write a press release for your candidate.

These press releases will be posted on the World Wide Web. Each spin doctor will review all of the press releases and the research of their party colleagues to prepare to be on "Meet the Press Secretary." This exciting television program will allow each spin doctor twenty minutes to discuss their political party's stand on the "hot topics" of the day, the places they took their research from and how their party's stand differs from the other two parties.

Reflect on the party positions as you watch the final version of "Meet the Press Secretary" and determine which candidate you would vote for in the upcoming election.
Evaluation:
You will be graded on each of the press releases, the evaluation of your work by your research team partner and your sound byte group, and your performance on meet the press secretary.
