These ghost town sites will be used to explore Arizona's past and examine the relationship between the minning industry and ghost towns in Arizona. What impact and influence did minning have on the growth and development of Arizona? The Copper State video series includes a good volume on ghost towns in AZ that could be used to introduce this relationship.

These sites also offer the opportunity to introduce the use of topographic maps. Included in the town discription are map coordinates to pin point the site, often times followed by directions using map coordinates on how to get to the town, if it is off the beaten path.
