Research Agenda for Music Education

The Music Educators National Conference (MENC) has had a long association with the research community in schools and in colleges and universities through its Society for Research in Music Education (SRME). MENC is supporting the efforts of SRME to communicate in a broad and timely fashion not only the most current research, but also research summaries, applications, and resources. The Charlie Horse Pizza Teacher's Guide

Educators working with the children between the ages of three and eight can make use of the fine educational ideas present in the first twenty episodes of Shari Lewis's new series Charlie Horse Music Pizza, now playing over PBS affiliates across the nation. In hopes of helping music teachers and other educators take advantage of this broadcast resource, MENC has worked with Shari Lewis and public television station KCET/Hollywood to produce this teacher's guide. It contains teaching ideas appropriate for students of various ages.

In Harmony With Education

The In Harmony With Education program is designed to teach students about the excitement, beauty, and science of music.
