Use of the Internet
- Dr. Alice Christie, a technology
professor at ASU West, has created a wonderful list of resources
for anyone who wants to know about filtering the Internet for
students' safe use.

Directory
- Yahooligans is a large search
directory that is child friendly and lists topics by category.
It's supposed to be "safe " for kids, however, not all
inappropriate sites have successfully been blocked.

School District's Resource Page
- This site has some wonderful links
for educators and parents. as well as a "surf-safe" site for
kids.
KidSource
Online's Page on Gifted and Talented Students
"A
group of parents interested in providing the best education and
health possible to their children formed KidSource Online to make
information available to other parents. Their site includes a page
devoted to articles on gifted and talented students. Topics
include career planning, helping and nurturing the gifted child,
developing leadership skills, teaching children to manage stress,

International Home Page
"Stop by this site to exercise
your gray matter with "The Mensa Workout." Your score will be
tabulated automatically upon completion of the test, and answers
and discussion of the answers will be provided. From this site,
you can also reach the Mensa Foundation for Gifted Children
(MFGC), where you can find answers to parents' frequently asked

American Memory Collection
- This offers a wonderful nostalgic
trip through American history. The site contains Historical
Collections for the National Digital Library from the Library of
Congress. This is a multimedia collection of digitized documents,
photographs, recorded sounds, moving pictures and text from the
Library's Americana collection.
Smithsonian
- People of all ages will enjoy
searching through the various museums at this fascinating
site.
From dinosaurs to the Global
Positioning System, you will find this site full of wonderful
pictures and displays that will make you feel as though you've
been to the actual museums.
NASA
- This site is a treasure for those
interested in space. There are some wonderful links, including
NASA for kids. You could spend an entire afternoon
here.
